Indian cities Mumbai, Pune to host presidential polling stations

New Delhi, May 17, IRNA – Iran’s Consulate General in Mumbai, India has announced that two ballot boxes will be set up in the cities of Mumbai and Pune in the country to let Iranians living in India participate in the May 19 presidential elections.

All Iranians residing in India will be able to vote with their birth certificates, national ID cards or a valid passport, the consulate general said.
Iran’s presidential candidates included Ebrahim Raeisi, Custodian of Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine, First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri; Mayor of Tehran, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf; former minister of culture and Islamic guidance Mostafa Mirsalim; former minister of physical education Mostafa Hashemi Taba, and President Hassan Rouhani.

Two of the candidates (Qalibaf and Jahangiri) have so far dropped out of the presidential race in favor of Raeisi and Rouhani respectively.
