Iran bags 82 medals so far in Baku Games
Baku, May 21, IRNA – Iranian squad to the 4th round of the Islamic Solidarity Games which are underway in Baku, Azerbaijan, has so far snatched 82 medals in different fields.
The Iranian squad has bagged 24 gold, 25 silver and 33 bronze medals in various categories.
On Saturday night, the Iranian athletes managed to snatch 8 medals, including 4 gold, one silver and 3 bronze.
The Iranian sportsmen won two gold medals in free-style wrestling, one gold in shut put for the disabled and one gold in Pahlavani and Zoorkhaneh sports on Saturday night while another disabled Iranian athlete bagged a silver medal in shut put.
The Iranian sportsmen also won three bronze medals in wrestling and individual 10-meter diving.
The 4th round of Islamic Solidarity Games are underway with the attendance of 54 countries in 22 sports fields. The games run until May 22 in the capital city of Azerbaijan.
Iranian squad consisting of 280 members has participated in 20 fields.
