OIC Condemns Terrorist Blast at Bus Station in East Jakarta
26/05/2017- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) stronglycondemned the terrorist bombing that struck Wednesday, 24 May 2017, a bus station east of the Indonesian capital of Jakarta, killing 3 police officers and injuring dozens of innocent persons.
Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen described the blast as a terrorist act aiming to destabilize Indonesia’s security and stability and targeting innocent civilians.
Deploring this malicious and criminal assault, the Secretary General emphasized that the OIC stands in absolute solidarity with the Indonesian government against terrorist activity, underlining the Organization’s firm and principled position in condemning terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
Further, Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed his best wishes for fast recovery to the injured.
