OIC Strongly Condemns Terrorist Attack in Pakistan’s Sindh Province

17/02/2017 - The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the terrorist attack of Thursday, 16 February 2017, which targeted religious shrines inSehwan, in the Sindh Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and killed and injured hundreds of people.

The General Secretariat denounced this terrorist attack which targeted visitors to the shrine. It expressed its support for the efforts of the Government of Pakistan in its war against terrorism. The General Secretariat also presented condolences to the Government and people of Pakistan and to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.

The General Secretariat reiterated the principled position of the OIC strongly condemning all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all their forms and manifestations and absolutely rejects any justification for terrorism.
