OIC Secretary General Meets Indonesia’s Foreign Minister on the Sideline of Istanbul Meeting

01/08/2017- Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, H.E. Retno Marsudi, on the sideline of the Open-Ended Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC Executive Committee at the Level of Foreign Ministers, held in Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday, 1 August 2017, to discuss the latest aggression against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Both sides discussed subjects of common interest, including the Palestinian question and the developments discussed at the Istanbul meeting in light of Indonesia’s interest in the Palestinian issue.

The Secretary General expressed his great satisfaction with Indonesia’s support for the OIC and assured of continued cooperation with Indonesia to boost joint Islamic action.

The Secretary General reviewed the latest activities by the OIC on many issues in the Muslim world, including projects being carried out by the OIC.
