TOBB in the presence of Atatürk

14.05.2018 / Ankara- The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), on occasion of its 74th General Assembly, visited Anıtkabir to stand in the presence of Atatürk; a delegation led by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and comprised of the TOBB General Assembly Chair, TOBB Board, Councils, chamber and exchange presidents as well as various delegates..

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu wrote in the memorial ledger the following:

"Great Atatürk,

We, the administrators and delegates of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, stand before you on our 74th General Assembly.

As we approach the centennial of our Republic, step by step, we are working diligently as the Turkish business community with all of our power, in full recognizance of our duties and obligations.

The achievements we have achieved in employment, investment and growth further encourage us to reach greater objectives in the race of civilizations.

Established in the wake of the War of Independence fought under your leadership, by your brothers-in-arms and our noble nation, our Republic is the most meaningful and valuable heritage we have.

Never doubt that we, striving to protect this charge as the greatest of honors, will in turn entrust this charge unto future generations with the same pride and care.

Your trust is our honor, our greatest treasure. It will endure forever.

We remember with the utmost gratitude those who have contributed to and given their lives for the founding of our Republic.

We declare in your presence once more that we will always strive towards the goals you’ve set us. May the grace of Allah be upon you.”
