OIC Condemns Alexandria Bomb Attack

24/03/2018- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the bomb attack perpetrated in East Alexandria on Saturday 24th March 2018 which resulted in a number of fatalities and injuries.

The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef A. Al Othaimeen, described the attack as a heinous criminal act, and declared his support for the Arab Republic of Egypt, its leadership and its people, in their war against terrorism.

The Secretary General further reaffirmed the OIC’s unfailing stand against all forms and manifestations of terrorism and violent extremism, regardless of their motives and justifications, and noted that terrorism has no religion and no nationality.

The Secretary General also expressed his deep condolences to the victims’ families and wished prompt recovery to the wounded.

The Secretary General renewed his call for broad cooperation and coordination in the face of terrorism, both intellectually and on the ground, and asserted that the OIC is persevering in its diligent action to that effect.
