OIC Secretary General Receives a Written Letter from Guinea-Bissau President
01/08/2018- The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, received at his office at the headquarters of the General Secretariat on Tuesday, 31 May 2018, Ambassador Mamadou Sano Gomes, Envoy of the President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
Ambassador Gomes handed to the Secretary General a written message from His Excellency President José Mário Vaz, President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the OIC and Guinea-Bissau and means of developing these relations in all fields. The Secretary General affirmed the OIC’s commitment to supporting the Republic of Guinea-Bissau in realizing its people's aspirations for stability and sustainable development.
For his part, Ambassador Gomes expressed his appreciation to the OIC for its efforts in enhancing security, stability and development in the Republic of Guinea-Bissau. He expressed hope that the OIC would mobilize support to implement further development projects in the country.
