Iranian official calls for expansion Tehran-Ankara tourism ties
Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA - Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Deputy Morteza Rahmani said here on Tuesday that there is no hindrance to expansion of Iran-Turkey tourism relations.
Rahmani made the remarks in a meeting with his visiting Turkish counterpart Hussain Payman.
Describing tourism as a two-way road, he underscored that Iran and Turkey enjoy proper infrastructures in tourism sector.
He added the Iranian officials are planning to host a large number of Turkish tourists in near future.
Payman, for his part, stressed that Ankara is seeking to expand its tourism relations with Tehran.
He added Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has given precise instructions for helping the Iranian tourism sector.
“We prefer Turkish tourists travel to Iran instead of the European countries,” he said, urging the Iranian officials to introduce their county’s tourism attractions to the Turkish people.
