Pakistan, a hospitable host
Islamabad, March 2, IRNA – Pakistan as the host to the 13th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit, was admired by all high-level delegations attending the event in Islamabad for holding a well-organized summit.
President Hassan Rouhani attending the summit, during his speech appreciated Pakistan for its hospitality.
High level delegations from the ten-ECO member states including Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan attended the summit.
The event was held in a very peaceful and healthy atmosphere and all of the participants of the conference were happy over the arrangements of the summit.
From arrival to the departure of the delegations, everything was very well managed and well organized.
All the events including the ECO Heads of State/Government Summit, Council of Ministers’ Meeting (COM) and senior officials meeting were well administered.
The delegations attending the conference were also happy with the friendly behavior of security forces.
The conference was widely covered by the local and foreign media and special arrangements were made for a desirable coverage of the regional event.
Despite some security problems a few days back in different areas of Pakistan, foolproof security was provided to the delegations and the whole conference was held in a very safe, secure and friendly atmosphere.
The participation of high level delegations in the ECO summit shows that Pakistan is a great host for high-level regional and international summits.
The Pakistan military also did a great job to provide security to the ECO summit from the beginning to the end.
Although strict security measures were taken for the summit, life of the local people of Islamabad was not disturbed and city was as calm and quiet as every day.
