At least 24 killed in Kabul blast: Afghan Interior Ministry

Kabul, July 24, IRNA – Afghanistan Ministry of Interior's spokesman said on Monday that at least 24 people were killed and 42 more inured in a suicide attack in western Kabul.

Najib Danesh said that 15 shops and three cars were destroyed as a result of the attack and that all the casualties were civilians.

It is still unknown what the main target of the attack was, he added.

Kabul police had earlier confirmed the death of three people and injury of five other in the attack.

The suicide attack occurred in an area near the residence of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan government Mohammad Mohaqiqh.
