Iran, Azerbaijan promote sports cooperation
Astara, Gilan prov, July 29, IRNA – Head of Azerbaijan Karate Federation Teyub Azizov said Iran and Azerbaijan have bolstered sports cooperation and both countries are eligible to hold international competitions.
Azizov made the remarks Friday on the sidelines of international Kyokushin karate competitions which were held in Astara city, Gilan province.
He expressed hope for further cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan to result in holding international competitions.
International Kyokushin Karate Competitions were held with the attendance of Iran, Azerbaijan Iraq and Afghanistan.
The 2018 edition of the event is slated to be held in Baku.
