Oman-Manchester flight makes emergency landing in Tabriz
Tabriz, Sep 20, IRNA – An Omani Airbus 330 airplane bound for Manchester, Brtain, made an emergency landing in northwestern city of Tabriz on Tuesday evening due to the critical health condition of an Irish passenger on board.
According to a local official, visa was immediately issued at Tabriz Airport for the sick passenger who was an Irish man due to his critical conditions and he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
Director of the East Azarbaijan Airports Mostafa Safaei added that the plane stopped in Tabriz Airport, in East Azarbaijan Province, for two hours and then took off to continue its way towards Manchester.
Tabriz Shahid Madani International Airport which currently operates 200 domestic and 20 foreign flights a week enjoy a suitable status in the country in terms of the number of flights and navigation equipment in the country.
