Iran welcomes Turkish investment in rail, communication sectors
December 26, 2017 - Speaker of Iranian Parliament Ali Larijani said that his country welcomes Turkish investment in rail, communication, hotel industry, road construction and aviation sectors of Iran.
He expressed these views while talking to Speaker of Turkey Ismail Kahraman with his parliamentary delegation on the sidelines of a meeting during Speakers’ Conference in Islamabad, IRNA reported.
During the meeting Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost and Turkish Ambassador Babur Girgin were also present.
Larijani expressed his satisfaction over the growing trade and economic relations between Iran and Turkey, adding that he had useful discussions in this regards with Turkish Prime Minister during his recent visit to Turkey.
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to promote cooperation with Turkish traders and investors in oil and gas sectors, railway lines, construction of roads, and aviation industry.
Larijani appreciated the efforts of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on summoning the extraordinary session of the OIC.
He termed Iran, Russia and Turkey cooperation in Syria as a successful experience and called for continuing efforts for Syria peace talks.
On this occasion, the Turkish speaker discussed various regional and global challenges in addition to the promotion of bilateral relations with Iran.
Ismail Kahraman went on to say the two countries have to remain vigilant so that Daesh instability in Syria will not give room to the activities of more terrorist groups.
He expressed his satisfaction on the cooperation between Iran and Turkey on border trade and drug-trafficking.
