Iran inaugurates national diesel engine production line
Tehran Times | June 20, 2018- Production line of domestically-manufactured 1,300-horsepower diesel engine was launched on the sidelines of the 6th International Exhibition of Rail Transportation, Related Industries & Equipment of Iran (Iran Rail Expo 2018) in Tehran on Tuesday. June 19.
As IRNA reported, Iranian senior officials including Defense Minister Amir Hatami, Industry Minister Mohammad Shariatmadari and Transport Minister Abbas Akhoundi, as well as Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari attended the inaugural ceremony of the engine production line.
According to Sattari, one-megawatt type of the engine is currently under production, while Iran has manufacturing five-megawatt and six-megawatt engines of the same type on agenda.
