President Rouhani congratulates Turkish counterpart on re-election
June 25, 2018 - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a message congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as president of Turkey.
In his message released on Monday, Rouhani expressed hope the friendly and brotherly ties between Iran and Turkey would be strengthened based on historical, cultural and religious commonalties, good neighborliness, mutual respect and interest, IRNA reported.
He also hoped for close cooperation between both countries’ officials as regard regional and international development to pave the way for solving problems, promoting peace and stability and increasing welfare in the region.
Rouhani wished health and success for Erdoğan and dignity and welfare for the Turkish people.
According to Turkish media ‘Anadolu Agency’, Erdogan with about 52.55 percent of total votes won the presidential elections.
