OIC Condemns Suicide Bomb Blast in Western Iraq

29/08/2018- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), issued a strong condemnation of the suicide bomb blast which targeted a security check point in Western Iraq on Wednesday 29 Aug 2018 and which resulted in a number of casualties and injuries among innocent people.

The OIC Secretary General, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, expressed his deep condolences to the victims’ families and wished a prompt recovery for the wounded. Dr. Al-Othaimeen called for a firm stand against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, irrespective of its source, and reiterated the OIC’s commitment to continue its coordination with Iraq for the convening of the Iraqi national reconciliation conference in conformity with the OIC’s relevant resolutions and within the framework of the sustained efforts towards the achievement of security and stability in Iraq.
