A delegation from the Islamic Chamber of Commerce participates in the 34th meeting of COMCEC in Istanbul

Iccia News | December 10, 2018- The Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture participated in a delegation headed by His Excellency the Secretary General. Yousef Hassan Khalawi, at the Thirty-fourth Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMESC), which was held at the Istanbul Convention Center in Istanbul, Turkey, from 26 to 29 November 2018.

Ms. Attia Nawazh Ali, Assistant Secretary General for OIC Affairs, presented the report of the activities of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.

The session was held within the framework of the 34th Session of the Committee and dealt with means of facilitating trade through the "improvement of customs risk management systems" in the OIC Member States, which is chaired by Turkey.

It is worth mentioning that the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC) was established during the Third Islamic Summit Conference in Makkah in 1981, where it started its work effectively. The President of the Republic of Turkey was chosen as its President at the Fourth Islamic Summit Conference in 1984, and it has 57 member countries.
