Iran, Serbia ink cinematic agreement

February 12, 2019 - Film Center Serbia (FCS) and Farabi Cinema Foundation signed an agreement to broaden cooperation in the cinema industry.

CEO of Film Center Serbia Boban Jevtić and deputy head of Farabi Cinema Foundation for international affairs, Raed Faridzadeh inked the agreement on the sidelines of the European Film Market at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival, ISNA wrote.

The agreement aims to make joint productions, hold meetings for producers and filmmakers, support young directors and conduct cultural weeks.

Culture is the most important part of relations between any two nations and Iran and Serbia are no exception, said the Serbian Ambassador to Iran Dragan Todorovic in September.

Iran's cinema has exported the country's culture, Todorovic said adding that Iranian works are very popular not only in Serbia but throughout Europe.
