Tourism vehicles: More than 7% drop in imports bill in Q1

April 24, 2017- The imports bill of tourism vehicles amounted to 336.05 million dollars during the first quarter of 2017 against 362.97 million dollars in the same period of 2016, a drop of 7.42 %, Customs told APS.

As for vehicles for the transport of peoples and goods (classified in the group equipment goods), their imports bill amounted to 126.87 million dollars, against 202.31 million dollars, a drop of 37.3% between the two periods of comparison.

The imports bill of motor vehicles for special use reached 100.88 million dollars, against 90 million dollars, a 12.1% rise.

Concerning parts and accessories of motor vehicles (classified as non-food consumer goods), their imports bill reached 96.38 million dollars against 104.45, a drop of 7.73%.
