Jordan's tourism revenues surge to $2.5bln in H1

Zawya | August 18, 2017- Jordan's revenues from tourism soared by 13.5 percent to $2.5 billion (about 1.8 billion dinars) in the first six months of the current year compared with $2.2 billion for the same period in 2016.

The Central Bank of Jordan said in a statement on Wednesday that the increase was driven by higher number of tourists, which went up by 9.5 percent compared with the corresponding period of 2016.
