Iran Exports over $2.4bln Worth of Goods from Bushehr Province in 6 Months

TEHRAN (FNA)- Over 11 million tons of non-oil goods with a value of over $2.47 billion were exported from Bushehr province in Southern Iran during the past six months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020-September 21, 2020), Head of Bushehr Province Department of Industry, Mine and Trade Hossein Hosseini announced on Sunday.
"China, the UAE, Afghanistan, India, South Korea, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey and Brazil were the main export destinations of the exports," Hosseini said.
He pointed out that butane, propane, polyethylene, methanol, urea, styrene, butene, raffinate, cement, clinker, base oil, polystyrene and alkylbenzene were the main petrochemical products exported from Bushehr Province.
"Meanwhile, about 247,000 tons of goods worth $508 million were imported to Bushehr Province during this period," Hosseini added.
He reiterated that the imports included auto tires, butter, black tea, auto parts, rice, tools, industrial faucets, and automatic door parts.
China, the UAE, India, the Philippines, New Zealand, Germany, Sri Lanka, Italy, South Korea and Spain were top exporters to the province.
In relevant remarks earlier, Iranian Customs Administration said that the country’s foreign exchanges have exceeded $30 billion over the first half of the Iranian year (March 20-September 21, 2020).
Head of Iran’s Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehdi Mirashrafi said that the goods trade in the mentioned period has been over 62,842 million tons and the country’s exports to China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan, and Turkey stood at $10.4 billion.
