Iran to Host 5th Renewable Energy Confab in Mid-December

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran’s Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology announced that the 5th Iran Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition (IRAN REC) and 2nd National Renewable Energy Award will be held in Tehran on December 16.
According to the Vice-Presidency, IRAN REC will be held on December 16, 2020, through videoconference due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This international event is going to focus on exploring challenges ahead in the development of renewable energy and providing solutions to improve the business environment in this area during the coronavirus conditions.
It will also study the market for the development of renewable energy and its transformation strategies, and examine the development of renewable energy technology.
Foreign speakers have also been invited to share their latest scientific views with the audience.
It should be noted that the First Exhibition of Renewable Energies will be held concurrently through videoconference.
In relevant remarks in October, Director General of Iranian Renewable Energy Organization Ali Shabnavard said that his country will put 28 renewable energy power plants on stream by the end of the current year (March 20).
“At the moment, nearly 54 companies are constructing renewable energy power plants such as solar and wind energy and hydroelectric power plants with a total capacity of 229.39 MW,” Shabnavard said on October 22.
