“We vehemently condemn the heinous attack on Ambassador Karlov”

20.12.2016 / Ankara - TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu issued a statement, vehemently condemning the attack on Russia’s Ambassador to Ankara, Andrey Karlov.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the attack is unacceptable and that those who target peace to achieve their goals through chaos will never succeed.

 TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu message is as follows:

 “We are greatly saddened by the death of Russia’s Ambassador to Ankara Andrey Karlov at the Modern Arts Center as a result of an armed attack.

 We reiterate that we oppose all terror and violence. The attack on the Ambassador is an unacceptable, inhuman act.

 The historical friendship between Turkey and Russia is strengthened by robust economic relations. I am confident the people of both countries jointly oppose terror.

 I have confidence that the perpetrators of this heinous attack will be brought to the light; I extend my condolences to the family and loves ones of the Ambassador and the Russian people.”
