Foreign citizens can get a residence permit in Uzbekistan

2019/1/9- According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 5, 2019 No.DP-5611 “On additional measures for accelerated development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan” it is planned to grant the right to obtain a residence permit in the Republic of Uzbekistan to citizens of 109 countries of the world.

Such a right is granted on condition that a real estate would be acquired in:

Tashkent region and Tashkent city in the amount equivalent to at least 400,000 USD;

Samarkand, Bukhara, Namangan, Andijan, Fergana and Khorezm regions in the amount equivalent to at least 200,000 USD;

The Republic of Karakalpakstan and other regions of the country in the amount equivalent to at least 100,000 USD.

According to the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, these measures will contribute to an increase in foreign exchange earnings in the country’s economy, the flow of foreign tourists, development of cultural, scientific, trade and investment relations between Uzbekistan and other countries, as well as improvement of the positive image of Uzbekistan in the international arena.
