UK Special Envoy and Somalia Permanent Representative to the OIC Deliver Invitation the Secretary General for International Conference on Somalia

21/03/2017 - Mr. Barrie Peach, British Consul General in Jeddah and the Special Envoy to the OIC and Mr. Abdul Razzak, Permanent Representative of Somalia to the OIC met with the Secretary General Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen at his office on 20 March 2017 and delivered an invitation to the Secretary General to attend an International Conference on Somalia,which will be held in London in May 2017.

Extending his solidarity with Somalia, Dr. Al-Othaimeen conveyed his appreciation to the Governments of Somalia and the United Kingdom for inviting him to the conference. He hoped that the planned London Conference would bring together important stakeholders and international partners of Somalia and would be an opportunity to extend much needed political and humanitarian support to the country.
