Iran’s 7-Month Trade with Neighbors Over $19bln

TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran's foreign trade with its neighboring countries amounted to $19.62 billion during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 20- October 21), Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi said on Saturday.
Mir-Ashrafi further noted that the volume of the exported products reached 50,410,623 metric tons.
“Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan Republic, Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and the UAE were export destinations for Iranian goods in the first seven months of the year,” he underlined.
In relevant remarks in October, Mehdi Mirashrafi had said that the volume of exported goods was three times more than imports in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-September 20).
Mir-Ashrafi said that 83 million tons of products were loaded and unloaded at customs offices of the country in the first half of the current year.
