FPCCI and BF sign MoU to promote In-Land Waterways
http://www.fpcci.org.pk/press-release- Pakistan Federation of Chambers of commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Bahria Foundation (BF) have signed an agreement to establish a cooperative relationship in facilitating and advancing economic commercial activities to promote Pakistan’s trade for socio-economic prosperity. The purpose of this MoU is to create Industry-Navy Linkages to promote industry driven programs and plans for economic development and promotion of In-Land Water Ways Transportation. The FPCCI will serve as a platform to harmonize provincial cooperation to seek possible support for the development of economic activities and water transport. FPCCI and Bahria Foundation will also identify bottlenecks in the expansion of trade and recommend ways and means for removal of obstacles. The signatories will also cooperate in forming task forces to study ways and means of increasing trade, investment, infrastructure development and other such areas which are jointly identified with the passage of time. The MoU was signed by Commodore Mohammad Abuzar Khan, Director, Business Development, Bahria Foundation and Mr. Tariq Haleem, Vice President Pakistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry. in the presence of of Syed Mazhar Ali Nasir, senior Vice President FPCCI, S.M. Muneer, Zahid Saeed, Vice President FPCCI and other guests from the Bahria Foundation and Pakistan Navy Akbar Naqi.
